MLK Day of Service and Learning

MLK DAY OF SERVICE and learning

MLK Day is a chance for us to dedicate a portion of our day to civic engagement and service. Thousands of people across the country come together to serve others and advance justice and social welfare. We are proud to provide a meaningful opportunity for you to engage every MLK Day of Service.

Dr. King’s legacy is one of service to our fellow human beings, but it is also of working towards racial equity and a more just society for People of Color.

This year, MLK Day of Service and Learning coincides with the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shvat, or the “new year of the trees”. This holiday, established by the rabbis in ancient times, is celebrated by eating special fruits, planting and honoring trees, and in recent decades, with environmental activism and learning.

Join us for a chance to celebrate both Dr. King’s legacy of service and Tu B’Shvat as we clean up parts of DC and then learn about environmental justice with the Jewish Earth Alliance via webinar.
