Lyssa Jellenik

Assistant Director, Youth Action Institute

Lyssa, serving as the Assistant Director of the Youth Action Institute, brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team. Stemming from her active involvement in NFTY-NE and tenure on its Regional Board as a teen, she’s dedicated and passionate about youth engagement and its power to positively impact the world. Lyssa holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Political Communication from American University where she was also an active member of Alpha Phi Omega, leading various community service initiatives. Before joining our team, she served as a Community Engagement Associate at Reading Partners DC. Outside work, Lyssa enjoys exploring new restaurants, visiting the Smithsonian, and crafting. With a deep love for service and the Jewish youth community, Lyssa is thrilled to be in a role that allows her to exist within the intersection of the two.
