To commemorate special occasions and lifecycle events, or to honor the memory of a loved one, the Edlavitch DCJCC welcomes tax-deductible gifts to the Annual Fund, or one of the Center’s many excellent programs. 

A tribute card is sent in your name to the person you are honoring or, in the case of a memorial gift, to the family or whomever you indicate when you make your gift. We will send a formal acknowledgement letter to you as well.

Donation of stock is a particularly beneficial way to make a charitable donation as the donor does not pay any capital gains tax on the sale of the stock gift. In addition, donors can take an immediate income tax deduction for the current fair market value of the asset—regardless of the amount originally paid for the security.  

It is simple to make gifts of appreciated securities to the Edlavitch DCJCC. Your financial services provider can transfer them electronically to the Center’s account. United Brokerage Services is working with the Edlavitch DCJCC to handle stock transactions. Our account number is 8806-6932 and the DTC (for electronic transfers) is 0141. When you’ve finalized the transfer, please notify Kirsten Wade in the Development Office and inform her of the name of the stock and number of shares to be transferred to the Edlavitch DCJCC. 

Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, or even triple, a donation’s value. Check with your employer to find out if your company will match your contribution to the Edlavitch DCJCC, a certified 501(C)(3) organization. 

Once you have determined that your company does match donations made to the Edlavitch DCJCC, obtain the appropriate form from your Personnel/Human Resources office and send it along with your gift, or a receipt of your gift if you donated online, to:

Support the Edlavitch DCJCC through the United Way/Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)! 

One of the easiest ways to support the Community Service programs of the Center is by donating through United Way. When you complete your United Way or Combined Federal Campaign Form, please designate the Edlavitch DCJCC (Agency #8125, Combined Federal Campaign #54775) as a gift recipient.
