Join us to volunteer with our close partner organization, DC Central Kitchen. Volunteers will work in the professional kitchen to chop vegetables, sort fresh produce, mix salads, portion meals, and more!
Join us to volunteer with DC Central Kitchen, a close partner organization of the EDCJCC. DC Central Kitchen (DCCK) is an iconic nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. The organization provides hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing high barriers to employment while creating living wage jobs and bringing nutritious, dignified food where it is most needed.
Please note that while DCCK welcomes volunteers ages 12 and older, teens ages 12-18 are invited to volunteer with the Youth Action Institute.
There is limited space for this program and registration is required for participation. As DC Central Kitchen relies on a specific number of volunteers to be able to produce the meals they need, we ask that you only register if you are committed to showing up to volunteer on this day. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
