Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Kelly Quinn
Jun 5 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Mondays, May 15 – June 26,  6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This class will challenge and develop students mentally and physically. Protocols and dojo etiquette will be introduced and strictly enforced to ensure a safe, healthy, comfortable, and fun training environment for everyone. Students will learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – which consists of self-defense techniques, takedowns (wrestling and judo), and ground techniques (positions, sweeps, and submissions). There will be realistic simulations, drilling, positional specific training with resistance, and live sparring. Recommended for ages 18+

About Kelly Quinn: Born in Cheverly, Maryland, Kelly grew up as a DMV local, introduced to martial arts at the age of thirteen, falling in love with the culture and expression of individuality. Picking up folkstyle wrestling in high school, Kelly developed a unique and effective style of grappling and fighting that led him to an undefeated record inside the cage. After numerous injuries that sidelined his competitive career, he shifted his focus and narrowed in on his expertise of grappling and Jiu Jitsu. After ten years of honing his craft, he was promoted to the rank of Jiu Jitsu black belt under his professor, Nakapan Phungephorn at BETA Academy. Kelly is also a certified personal trainer in Washington DC, and the head instructor for George Washington University Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club.
