Summer of Service Camp

Registration for Summer of Service Camp at the EDCJCC will begin December 12th at 12pm!

Spend your summer making the world a better place with our inclusive Summer of Service Camps. Teens of all abilities work directly with community non-profits, learning and reflecting on social responsibility. This summer, middle and high school teens will split their week between earning SSL hours through activities like packaging kits for the Ronald McDonald house, and assisting the men and women who volunteer at A Wider Circle, and much more.

This year the summer camp will be held at the Edlavitch DCJCC on 16th and Q. We will follow a hybrid approach: some activities will be done on campus at the EDCJCC, and others will take place at various sites. Combine that with all the fun of a typical camp day and you have a recipe for a rewarding summer.

Earn 15 SSL hours per week and have all the fun of a typical camp day! For the High School Summer of Service Camp, campers who register for both weeks will have a different experience each week.

After registration, each family will be contacted to schedule an online conversation with Maura Schmidt, Director of Inclusion and Disability Programming to discuss your camper’s needs and ensure that this program will be a good match for you. For information and details regarding accessibility and accommodations, please contact Maura Schmidt, Director of Inclusion and Disability Programming at mschmidt@edcjcc.org
