Come join us for an evening of volunteering! We will begin the evening with a pizza dinner, followed by assembling pencil packs for Community of Hope. Community of Hope provides direct services to address the needs of homeless and low-income families and individuals in DC. Each year, they distribute close to 1500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to their clients and members of the community. Pre-registration is required for this program, and we expect it to fill up quickly! This event is designed for volunteers ages 7+.

We request a $10 per person registration fee to help offset the cost of supplies for this project for anyone over the age of 5. If this is in any way prohibitive to your participation or if you have any additional questions, please email Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.

There is limited space for this program and registration is required for participation. As the JCC relies on a specific number of volunteers to be able to produce the amount of Pencil Packs Community of Hope needs, we ask that you only register if you are committed to showing up to volunteer on this day.
