Guided by a professional art educator, we’ll explore the artistic themes of the Phillips Collection’s exhibit Breaking It Down: Conversations from the Vault through fun, hands-on activities.
Join JFamily for an art experience at the Phillips Collection! Guided by a professional art educator, we'll explore Breaking It Down: Conversations from the Vault through fun, hands-on activities. Inspired by Sam Gilliam’s chromatic drape paintings, we will create mixed media sculptures that play with space and explore the capabilities of color. In addition, families may enjoy the carpeted, creative-play area with blocks, books, toys, and games. Families can then head upstairs to see the exhibition on their own. This event is designed for families with children ages 0 to 6.
$10 per adult, free for children. Free for one Phillips Collection adult member. If you are a member of the Phillips Collection, please reach out to Shoshana Parker at sparker@edcjcc.org for a discount code to redeem your free registration.
Due to space constraints, registration is required.
