Join the EDCJCC for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Sara & Samuel J. Lessans Good Deeds Week – a global mitzvah week started in Israel in 2007 and now celebrated in 108 countries! Good Deeds Day is an opportunity to participate in volunteer projects and advocacy to help folks around the DC area who are experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and other challenges.

Join us for an afternoon of volunteer projects and advocacy to help folks around the DC area who are experiencing food insecurity. Activities will include sandwich making, soup preparation, and more! We will also make thank you notes for poll workers and learn about other ways to participate in and support a healthy democracy. Intended for children ages 5+, but everyone is welcome.

Please note: We will be using products that contain gluten and nut products.

Pre-registration is required for this program, and we expect it to fill up quickly! We request a $16 per person registration fee to help offset the cost of supplies for this project for anyone over the age of 5. If this is in any way prohibitive to your participation, please email Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
