Join other JOC teens for an afternoon of exploring race and identity, creating space to show up as you are, and making new friends. Lunch will be provided during this program. This program is intended for teens 12-18 years of age.
Please note this program is specifically curated for teens who identify as Jews of Color. If your teen does not identify as being part of this community, we encourage you to find a different opportunity for them at the EDCJCC.
About the facilitator: Naomi Ravick currently serves as the Assistant Director of Programming for the Alexander Young Leadership Department at AJC. Ravick has been with the American Jewish Committee (AJC) for four years in various capacities. Ravick graduated from New York University (NYU) in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Journalism where she served two terms as the co-president of Hillel at the Bronfman Center for Jewish Life. Ravick now sits on the Bronfman Center Advisory Board in her capacity as an alumnus and has been particularly involved with their Black-Jewish programming and initiatives including facilitation of ‘From the Hilltop to the Mountaintop, Black-Jewish Dialogue’. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Ravick now resides in Washington, DC where she is pursuing her Master’s degree in International Affairs with a concentration in conflict resolution at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.
