There’s a lot going on in the world that complicates our identities – and it’s hard enough to navigate the world as a teenager. Join other Jewish Teens of Color for a facilitated afternoon of exploring race and identity, creating space to show up as you are, and making new friends.
With the national election coming up, the ongoing war in Gaza, and a sharp rise in antisemitism, there's a lot going on in the world that complicates our identities – and it's hard enough to navigate the world as a teenager. Join other Jewish Teens of Color for an afternoon of exploring race and identity, creating space to show up as you are, and making new friends.
This will be both an opportunity to have honest conversations about being a Jewish Teen of Color in 2024 in a safe space as well as the chance to just hang out and meet other Jewish Teens of Color. Dinner will be provided during this program. This program is intended for teens 12-18 years of age. If you have any questions about this program, please reach out to Sonya at sweisburd@edcjcc.org.
Please note this program is specifically curated for teens who identify as Jews of Color. If your teen does not identify as being part of this community, we encourage you to find a different opportunity for them at the EDCJCC.
About the facilitator: Naomi Ravick currently serves as the Assistant Director of U.S. Diplomatic Engagement at the American Jewish Committee (AJC).
