Celebrating generations of leaders shaping and building Jewish life in Washington, DC.
The Shorashim Society honors donors whose lifetime commitments of $180,000 or more have made a lasting impact on the Edlavitch DCJCC and Jewish life in Washington, DC. Your involvement reflects a devotion to a safe, welcoming, and enduring JCC at the heart of the nation’s capital. Being part of this society is both a recognition of your impact and an invitation to inspire others through the mitzvah of tzedakah, leaving a legacy for the next century of Jewish life.
Shorashim is the Hebrew word for roots, and we chose this theme to honor the deep, foundational role society members play in the life of the Edlavitch DCJCC. Just as roots anchor and nourish a tree, your leadership sustains Jewish life in DC and strengthens the foundation not only of our impactful work, but of our community’s traditions, values, and culture.
Your generosity has formed the roots of our community, and as we mark the EDCJCC’s Centennial, your commitment ensures they remain strong, supporting a thriving Jewish community for generations to come.
We are excited to celebrate donors whose lifetime giving of $180,000 or more has made a transformative, lasting impact on the JCC and strengthened Jewish life in DC.
We want to honor your recognition preferences. Please let us know if you would rather not be listed or prefer to be recognized anonymously.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and the impact it has on sustaining and strengthening Jewish life at the EDCJCC. For more information or if you have questions about the Shorashim Society, please contact Emily Jillson at ejillson@edcjcc.org.
