Why Shorashim?

Shorashim is the Hebrew word for roots, and we chose this theme to honor the deep, foundational role society members play in the life of the Edlavitch DCJCC. Just as roots anchor and nourish a tree, your leadership sustains Jewish life in DC and strengthens the foundation not only of our impactful work, but of our community’s traditions, values, and culture.
