Childcare at the EDCJCC Fitness Center
We are so excited to launch childcare services for EDCJCC fitness members!

- Eligibility: Childcare is available only to active EDCJCC Fitness members while using the gym. If you are not yet a member, please click here to learn more about our membership options. Parents must remain onsite in the gym, pool, or group class during their child’s stay. If a parent is in a place where they cannot have their phone (pool) they must notify both babysitting and pool staff, in case a babysitter will need to contact them through the pool staff.
- Age Range: Children ages 18 months to 7 years old are welcome.
- Reservations: Advance reservations are required and can be made online from your MyJ app up to 7 days in advance. Reservations for each weekend close at 5:00 PM on Friday. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
- Time Limit: Childcare is limited to 2 hours per day per child.
- Cost: $18 per hour, billed at the time of reservation. Minimum 1-hour reservation required.
- Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the reserved childcare session.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Parents must sign children in and out with staff and remain onsite at all times while using childcare.
- Health & Safety: Children must be symptom-free (fever, cough, contagious illness) for at least 24 hours before attending. Caregivers must notify babysitters of any allergies or medical conditions to be aware of for their child.
- Food & Drink: Snacks are not permitted inside the childcare room. Please ensure children are fed beforehand. Water bottles are allowed and should be labeled with child’s name.
- Behavior: If a child is inconsolable or disruptive for an extended period, staff may ask the parent to return.
- Toileting and Diapering: Childcare attendants will not change diapers. Parents must bring their own diapers and wipes for children who are not potty trained, and will be called back to the childcare room if a diaper change is needed. Potty trained children will have access to the restroom and be supervised for hand washing.
- Staffing & Ratios: Staffed by certified childcare attendants with appropriate adult-to-child ratios in place. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation due to changes in staff ratios.
