Get your relationship ready for the joys and stresses of parenthood in this one-afternoon workshop for expecting couples. We will focus on encouraging open dialogue between partners; identifying joint and individual expectations; building a shared toolkit for handling early parenting challenges; exploring shifting identities, roles, and responsibilities; and learning conflict navigation and decision-making strategies. Led by Francine Woodcock, LCSW-C.

This workshop is open to any couple actively expecting the arrival of a baby, whether biological, adoptive, through a gestational carrier, or other pathway. LGBTQ and straight, Jewish and non-Jewish – all are warmly welcomed! Please register just one adult per household. If you have any questions or if the cost of this program poses a barrier in any way, please reach out to Miriam at mszubin@edcjcc.org.

About the facilitator: Francine Woodcock has been a social worker since 1985 and she is a mother of five and a grandmother of two. In her career, she has provided clinical therapy, parenting education, conflict coaching, mediation, and leadership development, as well as serving in adjunct faculty positions.
