Come celebrate the accomplishments of our teens and the meaningful service they’ve done this year at the first-ever Youth Action Institute Impact Night! This event is open to teens and their families, and it will include a recognition ceremony, a casual dinner and dessert, and more.
The Youth Action Institute is thrilled to host its first-ever Impact Night—an evening dedicated to celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our teens and the meaningful service they've done throughout the year. In just our first year, YAI participants have contributed over 400 hours of hands-on service to the DC community including seniors, refugees, folks experiencing food insecurity and homelessness, and the beautification of parks and outdoor spaces. From organizing donation drives to supporting local nonprofits, our teens have shown what youth-powered change can look like. Impact Night is our opportunity to recognize that work in a big way.
The event will include: a recognition ceremony, where every teen will receive a personalized certificate; photo highlights from this year’s service projects; speeches and shout-outs from staff and community partners; a casual dinner and dessert for teens and their families; time to connect, celebrate, and look ahead to next year.
We hope teens and their families will join us for this joyful celebration of service, leadership, and community. This event is free, but RSVP is required for all attendees. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lyssa at ajellenik@edcjcc.org.
