New this year, teens ages 12-18 will have their own MLK Mitzvah Day project where they’ll volunteer and get to know other teens.
This program is now sold out!
MLK Mitzvah Day is an opportunity to participate in volunteer projects and advocacy to help folks around the DC area who are experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and other challenges. This year, we will have a separate project for teens ages 12-18. Join us to make overnight oats for Shepherd’s Table and get to know other teens. This service-learning program is eligible for SSL hours.
Please note: we will be using products that contain gluten and dairy but no nut products.
Pre-registration is required for this program, and we expect it to fill up quickly! We request a $18 per person registration fee to help offset the cost of supplies for this project. If this is in any way prohibitive to your participation please email Sonya at sonyaw@edcjcc.org.
