Celebrate Shavuot, the traditionally dairy-filled holiday celebrating receiving the Torah, at this casual Torah study and dairy-themed happy hour! All texts will be provided with translation and no experience is needed.

Join the JCC in community to celebrate Shavuot, the traditionally dairy-filled holiday celebrating receiving the Torah. No matter your Jewish learning background or dairy tolerance, we invite you to join us for casual Torah study and dairy-themed happy hour. Bring a friend to delve into relevant Torah texts in the traditional havruta (paired learning) style, guided by Director of Jewish Life and Learning, Rabbi Atara Cohen. Don’t want to bring a friend? No problem, we’ll find a havruta for you.

Lactaid pills and vegan options will be available. All texts will be provided with translation. Please note that this program is open to those ages 21+ and each participant must register individually.
