While the kids play together, adults will come together to talk about what Shabbat means, how to explore rest as a busy working parent, and make our own Shabbat Judaica to bring home. We’ll end the afternoon and close out Shabbat all together with a pizza dinner and Havdalah.
Looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon that the kids will love and you’ll enjoy yourself? Day at the J gives the kids an afternoon of play and the adults a few hours to enjoy all the JCC has to offer before coming together for dinner and Havdalah to close out Shabbat.
Prep for Shabbat and talk about what Shabbat means in your home, whether you’re Jewish or not. Let’s explore rest as a busy working parent and how to find those moments, even if they look different than they used to. We’ll make our own Shabbat Judaica to take home. As always, there will also be time to play games, enjoy drinks, work out at the gym, or just hang out with other adults.
