A water adjustment class for parent and child where we use songs and fun activities to acclimate both parent and child to this new adventure. Not a learn to swim class. The goal of the class is to get both the parent and child comfortable exploring the water and practicing skills that focus on helping the child in the learn to swim process later.

The goal of the class is to get both the parent and child comfortable exploring the water and practicing skills that focus on helping the child in the learn to swim process later.

Our first learn to swim class, Polliwogs 1 is a parent and child class where we place a greater emphasis on floating and kicking independently. Must complete Little Flippers as a prerequisite.

The Tadpoles class is a hybrid for students who have not been water adjusted. In this class parents participate in the water, encouraging the child to explore the water while furthering independence. This is the last class offered where parents are allowed to participate in the water with their child. Must complete Little Flippers as a prerequisite.

This class teaches basic swimming skills and builds confidence without parents in the pool. Students may not yet be comfortable getting their face wet and floating with support.

This class teaches basic swimming skills and builds confidence without parents in the pool. Child should be water adjusted and able to move through water easily with a backpack and/or barbell. Students should be comfortable with a wet face and little support. Must complete Guppies 1 as a prerequisite.

This class teaches basic swimming skills and builds confidence without parents in the pool. Child should be able to swim on top of the water with a flotation on, and be able to jump into the pool unsupported with or without a flotation. Must complete Guppies 2 as a prerequisite.

Students will learn basic/intermediate swimming skills and build confidence in this progressive learn to swim class. Child should be comfortable submerging and swimming with no support; there are no floatation devices allowed. This is the first rigorous learn to swim class. The final goal is for swimmers to develop a proficient front crawl and back crawl. Completion of Guppies 3 or a prior EDCJCC instructor referral are required to participate in this class.

Students will learn basic/intermediate swimming skills and build confidence. The Goldfish class is a progressive learning to swim class. The final goal is to have your child develop a proficient front crawl and back crawl.

Students will learn intermediate/advanced swimming skills and build confidence. The Sharks class is a progressive learn to swim class. There are no flotation supports used, and the child should be comfortable submerging and swimming unsupported. The final goal is to have your child further develop a proficient front crawl and back crawl, in addition to learning breaststroke, rotary breathing, and entries. Must complete Goldfish as a prerequisite.
