Thank you for your interest in the Edlavitch DCJCC Preschool!
NOW ENROLLING FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR!
We are currently enrolling children born between August 2017 and October 2020 for our 2-, 3-, and 4-year-old classes for the 2022-23 school year. At the moment, we still have open spots in all age groups! Please email Miriam at firstname.lastname@example.org to express interest in the 2022-23 school year and also use this link to get on the Waitlist (select the 2022 SEASON when prompted): GET ON THE WAITLIST
We are also exploring the possibility of of adding a December 2s class (for children born in November or December 2020) and/or a February 2s class (for children born in January, February, or March 2021). These classes would start in early December and/or early February (although children would have to wait until their 2nd birthday to actually start) and would run through mid-August along with the rest of the school. Please email Miriam at email@example.com to express interest in a December and/or February class and also use this link to get on the Waitlist (select the 2022 SEASON when prompted): GET ON THE WAITLIST
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ADMISSIONS
We run on a school year system, from September through August, so children are admitted for the September following their second birthday (or just prior, in the case of September, October, and early November birthdays). In order to be considered for admission, children must be on our Waitlist (see below). There is no other admissions process; your Waitlist form serves as your application. When we begin the admissions process in early February, we send out offers to new families based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, whether an older sibling has been a student, date of waitlist sign-up, past participation in EDCJCC programs, and other considerations necessary to create balanced classrooms.
Once you are on the Waitlist, there is no need for further action until admission offers go out.
If your child has a birthday in September, October, or early November, you are welcome to enroll for the school year that starts just prior to his/her second birthday. Please note that although you will need to pay tuition starting in September, your child cannot start until his or her second birthday.
We welcome new families into our 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes, using the same admission process outlined above, if there is space once our current families have re-enrolled. Fill out the Waitlist application (see below) if you are interested in a spot for a 3-year-old or 4-year-old. Your child will be sorted by birth date into the correct applicant pool, but there is only one Waitlist.
We do occasionally have mid-year openings, as folks move away or have other unexpected situations arise. Please email Miriam to let us know if you are interested in a mid-year spot.
Please note that all of our admissions are done from our Waitlist; there is no separate admission list. There is a $50 Waitlist application fee.
IMPORTANT NOTE about the Waitlist Application: When filling out the application, please select the “2022 SEASON” to find the Preschool Waitlist Application (it will be listed under “Preschool Waitlists” in the list of options). Admission for ALL future years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, etc.) are done from the 2022 Waitlist; there will be no need to re-enroll once you are on the 2022 list.
Please fill out our online Waitlist application on the CampMinder site by clicking here (remember to select the 2022 SEASON, regardless of what year your child will actually start school): GET ON THE WAITLIST.
