Child & Caregiver Classes

For newborns through 4 years old, with caregivers

The Parenting Center’s Child and Caregiver Classes are designed to meet the developmental and social needs of infants and toddlers (newborns through age 4) and to provide meaningful and fun bonding experiences for parents and other caregivers. LGBTQ and straight, couples and single parents, Jewish and non-Jewish, people of any color or ability — all families are warmly welcomed.

Our Fall 2022 session registration is now open! Below is our current list of Fall 2022 classes; you can expand each listing to see details about dates, times, prices, age requirements, and links to our registration system.

Some of our Fall classes will run in two short Early Fall and Later Fall sessions and some will run in one longer session.  You can register for one or both of the shorter Fall sessions at the same time; please be aware that our Later Fall session often fills up quite early since many people register for both sessions at the same time.

Please note that swim classes are run through our Aquatics Department and run on a different schedule; you can find information about them here.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes meet in person, at our beautifully renovated building at 16th and Q Streets NW.

  • By registering for our classes, you agree to our policies regarding refunds, make-ups, safety, illness, and more.  Read them here.
  • Please note that unless specifically designated as a “drop-off class,” all classes require that children be accompanied by a caregiver at all times.
  • Once you log in or create your account, please select the “2022 SEASON” and look for the “Parenting Center” category of programs.

  • We offer a 10% discount off the second child if two children from the same family are enrolled in the same class.
This discount does not appear on the registration page, but it will be applied by our staff when the registration is processed.
