Throw a fun birthday party for Community of Hope, a close partner of the EDCJCC! Community of Hope’s mission is to improve health, end homelessness, and partner with communities to make Washington, DC more equitable.
Volunteers will help lead activities, crafts, and games to celebrate April birthdays at a Community of Hope short-term housing facility. These birthday parties celebrate the lives of children and youth, offering joy, fun, and a sense of normalcy as their families transition into permanent housing. All supplies will be provided. This opportunity takes place in Southwest DC and is within walking distance of the Waterfront and Navy Yard Metro stops. The exact address will be provided upon registration.
This program is open to volunteers ages 14 and up and is especially well suited for those who enjoy working with children. Space is limited, and advance registration is required. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira Smith at msmith@edcjcc.org.
