Join us for a morning workshop that will help you define your mental load and turn recurring scrambles into decisions you can make once.
Someone in your house always knows the diaper size, the next pediatrician appointment, the upcoming school closure or caregiver vacation, and what everyone is eating tonight. Who keeps it all on track and how can you simplify and share that effort?
Join us on your way to work for a hands-on hour workshop that will help you answer these questions and turn recurring scrambles into decisions you can make once. Together we’ll define your mental load, understand how simple home systems can tame it, help you build your first one on the spot, and consider how to hand whole categories off to your partner, a service, or AI.
Bring your coffee and come prepared to share one thing that keeps weighing on you or slipping through the cracks. Leave with a plan for it! LGBTQ and straight, singles and couples, Jewish and non-Jewish – all parents are warmly welcomed. If you have any questions or if the cost of this program poses a barrier, please reach out to Miriam at mszubin@edcjcc.org.
This workshop will be led by Jennifer Mickel, founder of The Third Shift, a company that brings management frameworks to the mental load. Jennifer brings her JD-MBA and strategy consulting experience to helping parents streamline family operations and reclaim more joy.
