Join us for coffee, the company of other new parents and babies, and a relaxed conversation about how to keep your body feeling supported during the early months of parenthood. Stephanie Schultheis, PT, DPT, an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist, will discuss common sources of soreness and fatigue that arise from feeding, holding, lifting, and soothing a new baby. Learn gentle stretches and strengthening exercises that fit easily into your day, plus practical tips for posture, body mechanics, and pelvic floor health for not only moms but dads as well. Discover small changes that can make a big difference in easing aches, preventing injury, and helping you feel your best during this demanding (and beautiful!) season. Expecting parents also warmly welcomed.

New Parent Coffees are open to any new parents or anyone expecting the arrival of a baby, whether biological, adoptive, through a gestational carrier, or any other pathway. LGBTQ and straight, Jewish and non-Jewish – all are warmly welcomed! If you have any questions, please reach out to Miriam at mszubin@edcjcc.org.
