Spend an evening learning about Ayuda, an organization that supports low-income immigrants around the DMV, then pack hundreds of menstrual care and other hygiene kits .

Spend your evening supporting Ayuda, an organization supporting low-income immigrants throughout Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Volunteers will first hear from an Ayuda staff member about the organization's critical work to provide legal, social, and language services to help low-income immigrants in our neighborhood. Then volunteers will pack hundreds of kits filled with menstrual products and other hygiene essentials.

The minimum age to volunteer is 8 for this program. Parents should determine whether packing menstrual kits is appropriate for their children on a case by case basis. The registration fee helps cover the cost of supplies. Please reach out to msmith@edcjcc.org if cost is a barrier to participation or if you have any additional questions.

This program will begin with a seated presentation followed by kit-making which will be a standing assembly line.
