Humanitarian Voices: A Sukkot Gathering with OLAM

Date : Monday, Oct 13

Time : 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Location : Edlavitch DCJCC
1529 Sixteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC

Join others in the international development or humanitarian aid fields for a Sukkot celebration with Olam.

Do you work in international development or humanitarian aid, or have you been impacted by recent layoffs in these fields? Come celebrate Sukkot in the EDCJCC sukkah with OLAM – a global network of Jewish practitioners in the fields of international development and humanitarian assistance. Enjoy connection, networking, and meaningful discussion, along with delicious fall treats.

As we gather in the impermanent structure of the Sukkah, we are thrilled to be joined by Mutasim Ali, a Sudanese refugee and Legal Counsel, who will talk about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan and the impermanent state of its refugees.

A kosher, vegan dinner will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Sonya Weisburd at sweisburd@edcjcc.org.
