Date : Wednesday, Jan 21
Join the EDCJCC and Hadar for a monthly community beit midrash, where we’ll dive into the texts behind the holidays of Sukkot, Purim, Pesach, and more. Free to attend and open to adults of all backgrounds.
On Sukkot, Purim, Pesach, Shavuot and Tisha b’Av, we read special megillot connected to the themes of the holiday. In this new monthly Community Beit Midrash, we’ll dive into these megillot with the help of midrashim in preparation for their corresponding holidays. Whether you are new to these megillot or you want a chance to dig deeper through midrash, everyone is welcome regardless of background. We will spend some of our time learning together and there will be some time learning in havruta (paired learning). There will be a chance to daven Maariv together at the end.
Snacks will be served.
This class is held on Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00 PM, at the Edlavitch DCJCC:
January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, and May 20.
Free to register, but RSVP is required.
