In honor of Pride month, the EDCJCC is collecting essential items for Friendship Place’s Before Thirty program, which provides supportive services to young adults ages 17-29 experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
In Washington, D.C., nearly 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+. In honor of Pride month, the EDCJCC is collecting essential items for the youth served by Friendship Place’s Before Thirty program. Before Thirty is a person-centered program that provides supportive services to youth and young adults ages 17-29 (including single mothers) experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
We are collecting new women’s underwear, boxer briefs, and black t-shirts. Please consider ordering through our pre-approved Amazon Wishlist, with items being shipped directly to the EDCJCC, located at 1529 16th Street NW, Washington DC, 20036. All items must be in their original packaging and anything used will be thrown away.
The drive runs from June 1-18. Donations will not be accepted after those dates. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira Smith at msmith@edcjcc.org.
