Celebrate Good Deeds Day by helping to refresh a family housing site! We’ll set up a community room, tidy shared spaces, and enhance the outdoor areas to create a warm, welcoming environment. Plus, join an optional brunch meetup before the project.
Celebrate Good Deeds Day by helping refresh a Housing Up family housing site. Housing Up builds thriving communities in Washington, DC by developing affordable housing and offering comprehensive support services to homeless and low-income families.
This project is open to volunteers in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s, who will assist with setting up the community room, tidying shared spaces, and enhancing the outdoor areas to create a warm, welcoming environment for families. Volunteers should plan to deep clean, organize, and decorate to brighten the space. This is a great opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact in partnership with Housing Up. Volunteers will have the option to meetup at a nearby restaurant for a brunch before the project.
The Housing Up site is located in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC, and the exact address will be provided upon registration. Space is limited and advance registration is required. The registration fee will cover the cost of high quality supplies. If cost is a barrier to participation or if you have any questions, please reach out to msmith@edcjcc.org.
