Help us to add light to the world through sparkles as we have a fabulous, early-Hanukkah celebration, and Drag Story Hour, followed by a glamorous family Havdalah experience. There will be hands-on dress-up activities followed by local Drag Queen Tara Hoot reading stories with messages of tolerance and respect, themed to Hanukkah. We will close with a glitzy Havdalah ceremony and a pizza dinner. (Bring your sparkles!!)
Please let us know if you will need gluten free or cheese-less pizza. Come as you are or as you want to be—costumes welcome but not required. All ages welcome.
This program is a collaboration of Temple Shalom, Temple Emanuel, The Kurlander Program for GLBTQ Outreach & Engagement (GLOE) at the Edlavitch DCJCC, and PJ Library of Greater Washington.
