Celebrate Sukkot for Jews of Color and their Families

All Ages

Date : Wednesday, Oct 08

Time : 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Location : Edlavitch DCJCC
1529 Sixteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC

Come celebrate and build community with other Jews of Color and their families this Sukkot! We’ll enjoy dinner in the sukkah, learning with Ammud, crafts, and more.

Lasting eight days, the holiday of Sukkot has many themes and is a chance to reflect on the seasons, the nature of home, our ancestors, the bounty of the harvest time, and more.

Join our Jews of Color Affinity Group to celebrate Sukkot with dinner in the sukkah; learning with Ammud, the Jews of Color Torah Academy; crafts; mulled apple cider; and as always, the opportunity to create community with other Jews of Color and their families. We will have activities and learning for kids and adults of all ages!

This event is free but we kindly request you RSVP to help us ensure we have enough food. Questions? Contact Sonya Weisburd at sweisburd@edcjcc.org.

This program is brought to you in partnership with Ammud, the Jews of Color Torah Academy.

Please note this holiday celebration is specifically curated for community members who identify as Jews of Color and for their families. If you do not identify as being part of this community, we invite you to attend a different Sukkot event happening at the EDCJCC instead.
