In Washington, D.C., nearly 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+. In honor of World Pride, join the EDCJCC for an evening of learning and serving. Volunteers will hear from Friendship Place about their approach to ending homelessness in DC and the unique challenges LGBTQIA+ individuals face in accessing stable housing. Then volunteers will prepare nourishing snacks for the clients served by Friendship Place's drop-in center.

We will provide a Kosher pizza dinner for participants. Please indicate any dietary restrictions in your registration, and note that we will be using tree nuts for this project. We request a registration fee of $8 per person to help offset the cost of supplies for this project. If this cost is in any way prohibitive to your participation or if you have any additional questions, please email Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
