Join us for a lively conversation with Gabby Deutch, Senior National Correspondent at Jewish Insider, and Stephanie Butnick, founder of GOLDA, who will discus how physical objects in our life help to shape our Jewish identity. The evening will also feature a curated pop-up market of local makers reimagining Judaica—from time-honored pieces to bold, contemporary designs.

Gabby Deutch is the Senior National Correspondent at Jewish Insider. She was previously a contributing writer at JI and has worked on The Atlantic‘s global affairs team and at NewsGuard, a company fighting online misinformation. Gabby graduated from Yale, where she studied history, and she lives in Washington, DC.
Stephanie Butnick is a writer, podcaster, and Jewish culture obsessive. She recently launched GOLDA, a Jewish lifestyle newsletter featuring curated gift guides, holiday hotlines, Jewish FAQs, and more. Previously, she was the deputy editor of Tablet and has written for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She has a bachelor’s degree in religion from Duke and a master’s in religious studies from NYU. She lives in New York with her husband and their cat Cat Stevens.
