Clean up the Anacostia River in style! Join the EDCJCC and Living Classrooms to clean up trash and debris from the river while paddling in a kayak.

Clean up the Anacostia River in style! Join the EDCJCC and Living Classrooms to clean up trash and debris from the river while paddling in a kayak. You’ll be guided by staff certified in paddling education and CPR/First Aid. Participation is open to children ages 5 and up, and they must be accompanied by an adult in their kayak.

This program takes place at the Kingman Island boat launch point located in Northeast DC. The exact meeting spot will be shared via email.

Registration is required for each participant, and we will not accept walk-ups. As this program has limited space we ask that you only register if you are committed to showing up to volunteer on this day. If you have any questions, please email Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
