These adult beginner classes will introduce basic aquatics skills and teach the skills and concepts needed to stay safe around water. Class sizes will be kept small and no prior experience is needed!
Join the EDCJCC for a summer session of Adult Group Swim! These beginner classes will introduce basic aquatics skills and teach the skills and concepts needed to stay safe around water. Class will be held in the shallow end of the pool. Each class capacity is capped at 5 participants and no prerequisites are required.
Beginner 1 goals include: managing breath control; mastering floating or sculling; and swimming 3x body length in distance on both front and back. Beginner 2 goals include: rotary breathing; treading water for 15+ seconds; and swimming the length of the pool in both backstroke and freestyle.
