Support our close partner organization Homes Not Borders by bagging and packaging bulk spices to help clients who have lost access to federal nutrition benefits. This opportunity is open to adults and teenagers ages 16 and up.
Join us in supporting Homes Not Borders, a close partner organization of the EDCJCC! Volunteers will support the Homes Not Borders Food Assistance for Refugees Program, which provides sustained, dignified food support to newly arrived refugees who have lost access to federal nutrition benefits (SNAP). Volunteers will work together to bag bulk spices and package them in individual containers.
If you are sensitive to smells, we encourage you to wear a mask for this program. The program will be seated. The minimum age to volunteer for this program is 16.
Please email Mira Smith at msmith@edcjcc.org with any questions!
