Spend your morning serving brunch at Shepherd's Table! Shepherd’s Table’s mission is to improve quality of life, help create pathways toward lasting well-being, and inspire hope for the most vulnerable individuals experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, and poverty. Volunteers will help prepare food, serve meals, wash dishes, and clean the dining hall in support of Shepherd’s Table's work to provide hot, nutritious meals every day to people in need.
This project is open to volunteers ages 13 and up. Teens ages 13–15 must volunteer with a parent or guardian, while teens 16+ may volunteer independently. Please note that volunteers will be on their feet for most of the shift. Shepherd’s Table is located in Silver Spring, 0.5 miles from the Silver Spring Metro Station and accessible via Georgia Ave bus lines.
Participation is free, but registration is required and we expect that this project will fill up quickly. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
