As the nation’s first and leading community kitchen, DC Central Kitchen develops solutions targeting the root causes of hunger and poverty in our nation’s capital. Each of DCCK’s five core social ventures create opportunities for meaningful careers, expand access to healthy food, and test innovative solutions to systemic failures.
Volunteers will be working in the kitchen to prepare food including chopping, sorting and vacuum-sealing fresh produce, mixing salads, portioning meals, baking healthy snacks, and sorting cans.
WHERE: This event will take place in the SE quadrant of DC. Exact address will be provided via email.
MINIMUM AGE: This project is open to young professionals ages 21-45.
