What “The Effect of Gamma Rays On Man In-The Moon Marigolds” Means to Me

An Evening With Oliver Butler
Thursday, March 7, 6:00 PM
$35

Join us for a special evening in which award-winning artist Oliver Butler (director of Broadway sensation What the Constitution Means to Me and director of Hester Street at Theater J) takes us behind the scenes of the theatrical process to explore how new work is created, how creative practice is established, and how artistic decisions are made. Oliver will use excerpts from Paul Zindel’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, in which Oliver’s mother originated the starring role of Tillie. Be ready for a lively discussion – and perhaps to play a role!
