An indigenous Jewish community called The Abayudaya has lived in Uganda since 1919. The Abuyadada keep their traditions alive while co-existing with their Christian and Muslim neighbors. Despite the patriarchal society, women participate as equals in Jewish life events. The beautiful and inspiring journey enables an introspection about religion, a mother-daughter relationship, and what makes people gather into a community.
