This year’s French Oscars (Cesar Awards) favorite is The Goldman Case. In 1975, Pierre Goldman, a fiery and controversial figure of revolutionary left-wing activism, was put on trial in France. Accused of multiple crimes including two murders, Goldman proclaims his innocence. Considered to be the trial of the century, it divided an entire country and widened the gap between the conservative right and left-wing intellectuals.

May 11 screening will feature an introduction by Secretary Dan Glickman, previous chairman of the Motion Picture Association of America.

May 13 screening will feature an introduction by Susan Rubin Suleiman, author and Professor Emerita of French Civilization and of Comparative Literature at Harvard University.
