Kevin Place is a producer, director, teaching artist, and DC-area native in his sixth season at Theater J. He has been the producer or associate producer for over 20 productions at Theater J as well as dozens of readings and workshops. He also manages and teaches for Theater J’s educational programs, including the Classes for Theater Lovers series. Directing credits include WANDER (a site-specific piece written and performed with the support of the Goethe-Institut Washington), CLICKB@IT (Capital Fringe Festival, NextStop Dark Nights Series, Kennedy Center Page-to-Stage Festival), and ADAM’S TEMPTATION and INBETWEEN THE DROPS (Source Festival). Kevin has served as assistant or associate director at Shakespeare Theatre Company, McCarter Theatre, and GALA Hispanic Theatre to directors such as Alan Paul, Emily Mann, Amanda Dehnert, and José Carrasquillo. Kevin is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and the National Theater Institute.
