Doctor Jessica Zitter’s feature-length documentary debut tracks the profound professional collaboration and unlikely friendship that develops between a Jewish doctor and an African American Christian chaplain.

Jessica Zitter and Chaplain Betty Clark bonded through years of working together, united in their belief that empathetic palliative care involves a commitment to patients that goes beyond treating symptoms. An exploration of faith, culture, personal history, and professional ethics, the documentary poses challenging questions and points to a more humane, considerate system of care.

Q&A with Director Jessica Zitter following the screening, moderated by Rabbi Evan Krame.

Rabbi Evan Krame is a co-founder of the Jewish Studio, bringing decades of experience helping people connect deeply with Jewish tradition. Rabbi Krame is also an accomplished attorney practicing in the fields of estate planning, trust administration, guardianships, probate, and tax planning, with a particular interest in planning for persons with disabilities.
