DC Preschool Parent Conversation

DC Preschool Parent Conversation

January 17, 2021 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Overwhelmed with what you saw at virtual school tours or maybe just at the thought of a school search during COVID? You’re not alone. Let’s come together and talk about the preschool process.

Children who turn three before October 1st, 2021 are eligible to apply for the DCPS public pre-kindergarten program for the 2021-22 school year. This competitive lottery can be stressful and confusing, even before the challenges of COVID. We will discuss practical strategies for selecting which schools to apply for through the public lottery, learn about what happens after results are revealed, and discuss questions from other parents. This program will be facilitated by the JFamily Ambassador, Ross Diamond, whose son is a virtual Pre-K 4 student at DCPS Garrison Elementary.

This is a parent guided conversation, no school administration will be present.

This program is brought to you by the Edlavitch DCJCC and funded by The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and The United Jewish Endowment Fund.
