PRESCHOOL TOURS
We’d love to show you our school! The weekday Preschool Group Tours include the chance to see our facilities, hear about our program and observe classes of children and teachers learning through play. Please contact Miriam Szubin, Director of Preschool Admissions, at miriams@edcjcc.org to reserve a spot on one of the Group Tour dates below, or for more information. We can also schedule a private virtual tour if you prefer that option.

We have a few currently open spots for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year (through August 2023) in the 4s class for children born August 2017-October 2018 and in the 2s class for children born January-August 2020. NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR AND FOR ALL FUTURE SCHOOL YEARS
READ THE INFORMATION BELOW AND THEN GET ON THE ADMISSION POOL LIST
You can register for the Admission Pool List at any point after your baby is born, the earlier the better (but no need to do it before the baby arrives!). The year listed on the Admission Pool List registration is always the current calendar year; this has nothing to do with when your child will start school. Once you register for the list, we will sort your child into sub-pools based on their date of birth.
In order to be considered for admission, children must be registered on our Admission Pool List. There is no other application process; your Admission Pool List registration serves as your application. There is a one-time $50 Admission Pool List application fee. Once you are registered on the Admission Pool List, there is no need for further action until admission offers go out (see more information about the Admissions Process and Timeline below).
IMPORTANT NOTE about the Admission Pool Application: When filling out the application, please select the “2023 SEASON” to find the Preschool Admission Pool Application (it will be listed under “Preschool Admission Pool Lists” in the list of options).
We run on a school year system, from September through August, so children are admitted for the school year that starts the September following their second birthday In order to be considered for admission, children must be registered on our Admission Pool List (see below). When we begin the admissions process for the new school year in early February of each year, we send out offers to new 2-year old families based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, whether an older sibling has been an EDCJCC student, date of Admission Pool List sign-up, past participation in EDCJCC programs, and other considerations necessary to create balanced classrooms. Once we have completed re-enrollment of current families, in mid-March, we will begin offering spots to new 3- and 4-year old families using the same considerations.
Once you are registered on the Admission Pool List, there is no need for further action until admission offers go out.
If your child has a birthday in September, October, or early November, you are welcome to enroll for the school year that starts just prior to his/her second birthday. Please note that although you will need to pay tuition starting in September, your child cannot start until his or her second birthday.
