Meet Your JFamily Ambassadors

Who is your neighborhood ambassador?

Lindsay KaginLindsay Kagin lives in Washington DC with her husband and two children. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended Michigan State University, achieving a bachelors in International Relations. Shortly after graduating, she found a new passion in teaching and went on to achieve a Masters in Special Education from American University and taught students in both private school and the DC Public School system for seven years. Since leaving full-time teaching almost two years ago, she has volunteered her time to work on Jewish programming for children at her synagogue and is now trying to connect Jewish parents with young kids with engagement outside of the synagogue walls. She generally enjoys the outdoors and vacation planning (usually for her family since she also enjoys traveling!).

Originally from Long Island, Ross Diamond moved to the DMV from Ottawa, Canada in 2012 to become the Hillel director at George Mason University. Ross and his wife Sarah moved into the District in 2015 just before the birth of their son. He transitioned to becoming a full-time primary parent in 2016 and has found Washington, DC to be an amazing place to raise a child. Ross enjoys discovering new weekly activities, playgrounds, and events in DC for him and his son, and sharing them with other parents to join in on the fun. His hobbies include brewing beer, mosaicing, playing board games, volunteering, and seeing live music.
