Neighborhood tree walk with the edlavitch dcjcc!

Since you can’t walk over to the EDCJCC for a fitness classes, swim in the pool, or any of our fabulous learning groups and lectures, we want to provide learning and activities for our neighborhood community. So we’re bringing the learning and fitness outside! We’ve hidden signs in the neighborhood surrounding our building, and there are secret clues on our website that you’ll find at each stop. Bring your quarantine pod or family members, or tackle the challenge solo. Don’t forget to tag us on social media using @e_dcjcc and #happenathome!

This is the fifth week of the counting of the Omer, the period of seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot. This week is known for humility and splendor – so take time today to appreciate the wonderful trees in our neighborhood! They’re out there cleaning our air so we can breathe, and each tree has its own fascinating history.

Looking for tree #1?

To start the tree hunt, begin directly across the street from the Q Street Entrance of the EDCJCC. There, you’ll find the first sign on a red maple tree. Happy hunting!
