Classes and Workshops
Jewish learning comes in so many forms for all ages. Regular class offerings include Hebrew, Introduction to Judaism, and Love & Religion, our interfaith couples workshop. Meet our Jewish Life Instructors.
Please make sure you read our Registration Policies before registering for a class.
Introduction to Judaism
Spring Session: 8 Tuesdays, March 26 – May 21, 2019
7:30 pm – 9:15 pm
Come explore the rich fabric of Judaism! Using traditional texts and modern examples, we will cover the fundamentals of Jewish life, including Shabbat and holidays, prayer, lifecycle rituals, ethics, and beliefs.
Spring Session: April 8 – July 1, 2019 and April 10 – June 26, 2019
The Edlavitch DCJCC offers seven levels of conversational Hebrew, from learning the aleph bet to reading advanced literature. Our teachers are native Hebrew speakers with many years of teaching experience.
Love & Religion: An Interfaith Workshop for Jews and their Partners
Winter Session: Thursdays: May 2, 9, 16, 23 2019
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Being part of an interfaith couple can be challenging, but you don’t need to find the answers alone. For 20 years our four-session workshop has been a model to guide couples in openly discussing issues they face as partners from two different backgrounds.
We offer you a safe environment to work on creating your religious lives together. You can make Jewish choices while still respecting your partner’s religion. Be part of our ever-expanding interfaith community.
