The Edlavitch DCJCC offers seven levels of conversational Hebrew, from learning the aleph bet to reading advanced literature. Our teachers are native Hebrew speakers with many years of teaching experience.
Introduction to Judaism
Winter Session: 8 Tuesdays, January 8-February 26, 2019
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Come explore the rich fabric of Judaism! Using traditional texts and modern examples, we will cover the fundamentals of Jewish life, including Shabbat and holidays, prayer, lifecycle rituals, ethics, and beliefs.
Love & Religion: An Interfaith Workshop for Jews and their Partners
Winter Session: Thursdays: January 10, 17, 24, 31, 2019
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Being part of an interfaith couple can be challenging, but you don’t need to find the answers alone. For 20 years our four-session workshop has been a model to guide couples in openly discussing issues they face as partners from two different backgrounds.
We offer you a safe environment to work on creating your religious lives together. You can make Jewish choices while still respecting your partner’s religion. Be part of our ever-expanding interfaith community.
Get a behind the scenes look into all of the elements that go into making a production come together. Learn how a director solves the challenges of a script, and weaves all the design elements (scenery, costumes, lighting and sound) into a unified piece of theater. The registration fee includes tickets to the October 17 preview performance of Actually by Anna Ziegler at Arena Stage in the Kogod Cradle, which will be followed by a discussion.
